Civil War Introduction
By Saif and Andrew
The Civil War was fought between the Northern and Southern states, with a few neutral states. The South believed that the North was violating States Rights, namely Slavery. In addition, the North's economy was largely based on industrial factories whereas the South was based on Agriculture.
The interesting thing about the Civil War is that when you're younger, they tell you it was just about slavery, but in reality that was just part of it. Also, the Confederates are made out to be the cartoon bad guys, but really they were just people defending their home and their lifestyle, a lot of them didn't even have slaves.
